The project is implemented by the consortium of the Czinka Panna Roma Cultural Association and the mayor’s office in Nyírgyulaj. The project period runs from 2018.06.01 to 2020.12.01. The Nyírség Family and CareerPOINT will be established within the framework of the project.
Our goals:
- Improving the labor market position of women in the Nyírség region, supporting the reconciliation of family life and work with local solutions and collaborations
- Improving the atypical employment of women in the Nyírség region, with regard to local shortages of professionals, such as bakers, nurses, social workers and carers.
- Improving the local cooperation between employers and employees in the Nyírség region for the purpose of reconciling family and work
- Creating the operating conditions for providers and supportive communities in the Nyírség region to provide support services to reconcile privacy and work.
- Supporting families and rural youth in crisis situations in the Nyírség region, with personal counselling, programs and training courses.
- Promoting the atypical forms of employment in the Nyírség region, such as part-time work, teleworking, self-employment, outwork, simplified or casual work, job sharing and temporary employment as well as promoting new types of work time models among both employers and employees.
- Breaking down social and economic stereotypes against women with local awareness-raising tools.
In the course of the project, we want to implement a complex training and support program in the Nyírség region, as a result of which we can advance the reconciliation of family life and work for the 500 people, mainly woman, who are disadvantaged – caretaker of relatives – therefore they can become an integral part of the labor market. Our goal is to implement a complex program that builds on the economic work culture of the regions, utilizes on-site natural and tangible resources, and provides us with useful information for the target group of employees and employers. This also helps to acquire a knowledge, they will be able to use after the end of the project, especially in the case of atypical forms of employment which is a more and more common.
The aim of the project is to improve the labor market situation of women in the region, so that as many women as possible can find employment in atypical forms of employment, which will improve the balance between family life and work. During the training, the target group members can learn professions there is a shortage of in the region, such as bakers, practitioners, or social workers and carers, which can significantly improve the chances of their employment after leaving the project. During other training sessions, they can develop skills that can help them increase their opportunities for employment. Throughout the project, the target group members involved can take advantage of the following services: family counselling, employee counselling, mentoring, club work, and informative presentations that enable them to succeed in the labor market at the end of the program and be able to become self-employed.
Our goal is to help reduce the social and economic stereotype of women in the Nyírség region through the good example of the 20 employers involved in the program. Through the clubs, community events, employers’ forums and presentations there can be an increase in the number of atypical employment in the region. Thanks to the program, the knowledge of local employers about atypical forms of employment can also be improved, thus creating more of these job opportunities in the region.
