In April 2017, Czinka Panna Roma Cultural Association started to implement a European Union project (EFOP-1.3.5-16-2016-00223) with the primary aim of developing the community of Gyömöre in areas such as the development of local formalized or non-formalized communities, promoting volunteering, bringing generations closer together, strengthening family and social cohesion, or promoting social inclusion.
The direct target group of the 36-month project is primarily the disadvantaged 14-35-year-olds living in Gyömöre, as well as people over 60, but the community programs naturally affect the whole of the settlement. From 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2020, the Gyömöre Local Community Support Group will be established from the heads of local organizations to coordinate local needs and the professional content of the project. As part of the project, which is implemented with the 25 million HUF support of the European Union, an equal opportunities coordinator, the organization of club activities and six family days, and a Volunteer Day held each month, will ensure that the goals mentioned above are achieved. During the project, a professional conference is also launched.
