On 1 March 2018, the Czinka Panna Roma Cultural Association started a complex cultural awareness-raising program in 2 districts of Győr-Moson-Sopron County (Téti District, Győr District) and 1 district of Veszprém County (Pápa District). During the project, Czinka Panna Tradition Clubs will be established at 3 locations, which will be responsible for promoting Roma culture, while preserving tradition and cultural value. In the 6 settlements of the target area (preferably in the settlements where we will not operate clubs) we would like to organize an exhibition together with famous Roma artists, 4 times per settlement. In the 3 settlements of the target area (preferably in the settlements where we will not operate clubs) we will hold thematic clubs, 4 times a year. The themes of these clubs are changing, one time the Roma dance art is presented in the framework of a dance house session. Another time the Roma gastronomy is presented with a cooking together program. The third time the Roma music world will be presented with the showcase and trying out of authentic instruments and for the fourth time we are planning a presentation of ancient Roma craft and trying it out together.
3 times, (once a year) we are planning a Roma Holocaust Memorial Day on August 2. On the Memorial Day we commemorate our deceased and persecuted Roma compatriots with the participation of renowned Roma artists and a historic conference.During the implementation of the project, we would like to organize 3 times (once a year) a 3-day residential workshop-like sharing of knowledge session for 40 Roma professionals (teachers, social professionals, cultural professionals, nurses, etc.). 2 times in Pécs at the National Center for Roma Methodology, Education and Culture, maintained by the Gandhi High School Public Nonprofit Kft.
