„She was born in Tényő in 1957. She became an important member of the Gypsy self-organization after the change of regime. In 1990, she was a founding member of the Roma Parliament of Hungary, and from 1992 she became a member of the Nationality Committee of the County Government. From 1994, she worked in Győr for eight years in the municipal Roma minority self-government. In 2005, she founded the Czinka Panna Roma Cultural Association, which became the most successful nominating organization among the county minority self-governments. Thus, between 2006 and 2010, Piroska Bogdán was also able to participate in the work of the county assembly, and from the beginning of 2011 she became the chairman of the regional minority self-government, a national self-government representative. The National Affairs Government recognizes her with the Minority Award for her outstanding work in Gypsy politics, cultural autonomy, arts, talent management, and social advancement and social inclusion of the people.”
