VII. Czinka Panna Roma Culture Evening was held on August 5, 2011 at the “Víziszinpad”. The event was opened by Dr. Imre Szakács, Chairman of the Győr-Moson-Sopron County General Assembly, and David Fekete, local government representative, president of the New Town Subdivision.
In the first part of The Cultural Evening, the MTV and MR award-winning Ernő Kállai Kiss Jr. and his orchestra gave a taste of the gems of Hungarian gypsy music. The Kossuth Prize-winning clarinet king Ernő Kállai Kiss Sr. also contributed to the performance. In the second part of the show, the audience got a taste of the Lovari Gypsy dance. Then followed the performance of the Szomnakune Cserhaja Dance Ensemble from Tatabánya, who have been the winners of numerous domestic festivals. In the third part of the event Kossuth Prize winner Margit Bangó, the twice-crowned queen of Gypsy music, performed. Her performance was accompanied by Ernő Kállai Kiss Jr. and his Orchestra and Ernő Kállai Kiss Sr. also contributed to the outstanding performance.
The event was in good spirits, the audience and the performers agreed that the organization was flawless and the show itself was of a very high standard. Nearly 700 people attended the VII. Czinka Panna Roma Cultural Evening.
